Expedition Summary Bhutan lives up to its reputation as one of the most mystical and alluring travel destinations on earth. The tiny Buddhist kingdom tucked amongst the hulking Himalayas offers hushed temples, virgin forests and remote villages waiting to be explored. It’s there, in the "Land of the Thunder Dragon," that students capture the beauty of a peaceful region and create their own adventure film.

Update: We were surprised and happy that even though June is the ‘rainy’ season, it was a great time to be in Bhutan. The sun was out for most of every day, the flowers were in bloom, and everything was a vibrant green color. The Bhutanese are great hosts and not the least bit camera shy. Whole families planting rice were happy to let us film as they worked their way through the paddies singing traditional songs. Archers let us onto the field - as close as we dared - during a traditional tournament, and the lack of tourists made us feel like we were on an exclusive visit to a forbidden kingdom. This trip was an unforgettable experience.
