Colorado Backcountry 2010 Costs
Tuition and Costs:
- Film School Tuition: $2,595
- This includes both film and avalanche instruction in the backcountry, transportation to and from the mountains, all mountain accommodations, use of avalanche safety kit, editing instruction, course materials including the Film School Text Book, orientation dinner, use of editing computer with Apple's Final Cut Pro and student film festival .

- Air Fare to Denver - Tickets from New York to Denver on United are currently running ... $248 (checked on September 15th)

- $159/night for a single queen room
- $179/ night for a double queen room (Students are also welcome to share a room with another student to split the cost.)
- Video Camera / Accessories
- If you don’t already own a camera we can assist in the selection of a new camera and accessories that will work well for the school. B&H Photo and Video is a great place to start your browsing.
- External Hard Drive (for media storage)
- We highly recommend the Lacie Rugged hard drive for the editing portion of the school. (320GB for $149 or 500GB for $189)
- Backcountry Ski Gear
- Bent Gate Mountaineering provides all students with an avalanche safety kit including (avalanche beacon, probe & shovel). They have ski touring packages available for rental at $75/day, which includes (skis, boots, poles & skins). Splitboards and snowshoes also available.

Required Deposit and Cancellation Policy
Required Deposit:
Upon acceptance, a $500.00 non-refundable deposit will hold your spot in the Serac Adventure Film School. Checks should be made payable to "Serac Adventure Films". Class size is limited. The remaining balance of $2,095.00 is due on January 4, 2010 (3 weeks prior to departure). If final payment is not received when due, Serac Adventure Films reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
Cancellation Policy:
If you must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the costs we have incurred to reserve your place in the school.
In the event of severe weather, terrorism, civil unrest or personal, family or medical reasons we will refund the unspent portion of tuition at our discretion. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early.
