2009 Outside Serac Adventure Film School Costs

Tuition and Costs:

• Film School Tuition: $2,495
  • This includes film instruction at the Outside Magazine headquarters, film editing session, course materials including the Film School Text Book, use of editing computer with Apple's Final Cut Pro and student film festival.
    

Students responsible for:

• Travel to and from Santa Fe, New Mexico (Arriving October 11 - Departing October 17)
• Tickets from New York to Albuquerque on United are currently running ~$278 (September 15th check)
• Shuttle to Santa Fe - Sandia Shuttle Express - $25 one way or $45 roundtrip
  
  
• Lodging in Santa Fe
• The Hotel Santa Fe is offering students double rooms regularly priced at $225/night for the discounted price of $99/night. Students are also welcome to share a room with another student to split that cost.
  
  
• Video Camera & Accessories
• If you don’t already own a camera we can assist in the selection of a new camera and accessories that will work well for the school. B&H Photo and Video is a great place to start your browsing.
  
  
• External Hard Drive (for media storage)
• We highly recommend the Lacie Rugged hard drive for the editing portion of the school. (320GB for $149 or 500GB for $189)
  
  
• All Meals (Except orientation dinner and while on the trail)
  

Required Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Required Deposit:
Upon acceptance, a $500.00 non-refundable deposit will hold your spot in the Serac Adventure Film School. Checks should be made payable to "Serac Adventure Films". Class size is limited. The remaining balance of $1,995.00 is due on October 1, 2009 (~10 days prior to departure). If final payment is not received when due, Serac Adventure Films reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

Cancellation Policy:
If you must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined according to the costs we have incurred to reserve your place in the school.

In the event of severe weather, terrorism, civil unrest or personal, family or medical reasons we will refund the unspent portion of tuition at our discretion. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early.
