Serac Adventure Film School is back at the Teva Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado for another exciting year of adventure film. On day two, students filmed preliminary rounds for many competitive events including the Bouldering World Cup, Dockdogs, Freestyle Kayak, and Mountain Bike Freeride.
The Bud Light Lime Kayak Pro Freestyle presented by Jackson Kayaks featured the world's best play boaters throwing tricks in the Vail Whitewater Park at International Bridge. The shoreline and surrounding bridges were packed with fans as Film School students witnessed some of kayakings most intense tricks, aptly named for the sport's carefree side- tricks like the Lunar Orbit, McNasty, Phonix Monkey, Tricky Wu, Space Godzilla, Donkey Flip, Felix, and Back Pan Am.
The Eukanuba Dockdogs Big Air Wave presented by Cabela's is the equivalent of the doggie long jump. Different competing dogs test their jumping skills by launching into a pool of water to chase their favorite toy. Some students filmed Jasper, the day's leader, jump 21.5 ft soaking the crowd on landing, as well as many videocameras.

The IFSC Bouldering World Cup competition was held on the giant Teva Games rock wall. Competitors faced five bouldering problems designed to test power, strength, and dynamics. Serac Adventure Film School students saw many climbers fall from the wall in frustration, while others conquered the climbing routes amidst cheers from the audience. Today's qualifier leads into tomorrow's World Cup Finals, an event sure to draw thousands of fans.
The end of the day brought the warm-up round of the SoBe® Freeride DUAL presented by Native Eyewear. Riders and their full suspension bikes took on ramps, obstacles, and general obstructions testing both balance and skill. Some Serac Adventure Film School students elected to film the Freeride DUAL, while others began an early film editing session back at the
Antler's at Vail.
