Teva Mountain Games Serac Adventure Film School is back at the Teva Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado for another exciting year of adventure film. On day three, students began to gain a clearer picture of their completed films, all while filming and interviewing some of the best athletes in the world.

Teva Mountain GamesThe Teva Mountain Games kicked off another day of intense action with all eyes on the IFSC Bouldering World Cup presented by Pyramide. Six men and women entered the final round, with Jonas Baumann (Men) of Germany and Alex Puccio (Women) of Boulder, Colorado coming out on top.The Costa Del Mar 2 Fly X-Stream Qualifiers also got under way, with world renowned fly fisherman testing their casting skills. The Bud Light Lime Pro Kayak Freestyle Finals saw Stephen Wright and Emily Jackson take home the win (Learn about the Jackson Family in Serac Adventure Film School alumni Joe Spring's "Meet the Jacksons"). And of course there was the Teva X-1 Mud Run presented by Sprint, with competitors facing a sticky mud pit with every lap of the course. Our own Film School Student Trevor Halperin took part in the race. All participants came out unscathed, but the mud pit did claim an incredible amount of shoes, never to be seen again.

Teva Mountain GamesAmidst the non-stop action, Film School students found time to capture footage for their films. Josh Lyons of Boulder, Colorado is filming the tight knit Vail Valley fly fishing community. In particular, Josh is profiling the groups attempt at winning back the Teva Mountain Games fly fishing cup, and why it is so important to each team member. Josh is attending the Serac Adventure Film School to hone his documentary filmmaking skills for an upcoming trip to Thailand.

Teva Mountain Games Jose Saldana of Great Mills, Maryland is filming the powerful visual comparsions at the heart of the Teva Mountain Games. Jose is a very unique student at the Serac Adventure film school- he is our first deaf student. So far, Jose has creatively communicated using hand gestures, sign language, and writing pads. His great personality draws others to him and his positive attitude will surely produce a great film for the student film festival.

Teva Mountain Games Stephanie Pearson of Santa Fe, New Mexico is creating an athlete profile of renaissance man Adam Craig. Stephanie is looking to see what makes Adam tick, and how he manages being an Olympic mountain bike racer, while also racing rally cars at breakneck speeds and kayaking class five rapids.

Teva Mountain Games Stacy Jacob of Rancho Mirage, California decided to document the wide variety of dogs and their trainers who compete in the Dockdogs competitions. Dockdogs is a national competitive tour testing a dogs speed, vertical jumping ability, and longjump distance.
