The Serac Adventure Film School attended the 2009 Teva Mountain Games in beautiful Vail, Colorado from June 3 - 10, 2009.

At the country’s largest celebration of mountain sports, film school students completed every step in producing a short film. Each student had exclusive all-access press passes to all events and competitions at the games, including unrestricted VIP entry to all behind the scenes areas.

What they filmed?
Everything from in-depth athlete stories to competitive action sequences to behind-the-scenes spoofs! Students learned from the pros to shoot adventure-style and create a film from initial concept to finished DVD & webclip. The student films were finalists for the Filmmakers’ Shootout competition and are posted on the Teva Mountain Games website where viewers can vote on their favorite.

"Michael Brown and Serac offered yet another outstanding Adventure Film School. The program at the Teva Mountain Games provided a tremendous combination: the opportunity to learn story telling from the award-wining Serac team and the privilege to cast world class athletes as main characters. This unique six-day “on site”, hands-on program was worth hundred of hours in any traditional film school classroom."

"In online journalism, making quality video is becoming increasingly important, both for editors and reporters. Serac's hands-on, over the shoulder advice on story, shooting technique, and editing allowed me to pick up the skills needed to make professional films and coach others on technique. The fast pace of shooting and editing allowed me to maximize a solid base of knowledge in a short amount of time, and the 24/7 advice of the expert staff made learning easy."
--- Joe Spring
