    Beyond the resort boundaries, in the majestic Colorado Backcountry, our team braved sub-zero temps snow camping, skinned and snowshoed up to Jackal Hut, and layed fresh tracks in an unprecedented amount of snow.

  • Veteran's Colorado Traverse: May 13 - 20, 2013
    Veteran's took on Colorado’s mountain peaks in an exciting 3-day traverse through rocks, mud, and snow at altitudes up to 13,000ft. This film school was sponsored by the Sierra Club in association with the Military Families and Veterans Initiative.

  • Colorado Backcountry: January 6 - 12, 2013
    Outside Television was on hand with special guest instructor Chris Davenport to create a reality TV show as students ventured into the majestic Rocky Mountain wilderness for powder turns. The show airs in April 2013 on Outside TV.

  • Adventure Film Lecture Series: October 5 - 7, 2012
    We are excited to announce that the Adventure Film Festival, in conjunction with The Outside Adventure Film School, will be hosting an Adventure Lecture Series at Boulder's REI store. The event is co-hosted by Director Michael Brown, alongside the industry's leading adventure filmmakers.

  • Colorado Filmmaking Seminar: August 17 - 18, 2012
    Join five time Everest summitter and Emmy award winning filmmaker Michael Brown for a filmmaking seminar in iconic Boulder, Colorado. The seminar will feature two evening discussions with Michael Brown entitled "Climbing Everest: The Thrills and Challenges" and "Risks and Rewards: How Storytelling Transforms the Storyteller." The evening sessions are punctuated by a guided day trip into the Rocky Mountain wilderness to climb a 14,000+ peak. The Outside Adventure Film School team will be on hand to offer camera and filmmaking tips.

    Students trekked, rafted, and biked through the mystical kingdom of Bhutan with unprecedented access enjoyed by few "tourists".
