"This was my second trip with Serac Adventure Film School. In this school we traveled deep into the Colorado backcountry to make an adventure film. From the start we were instructed on how to approach the wilderness, how to pack, and all the tips and tricks that the professionals use. As an aspiring filmmaker I was able to walk away from this experience with a wealth of knowledge as well as connections that will last me a lifetime. This school is truly unique!"

Descending Into Darkness

No one wants to be considered an avalanche expert... because even the experts are still learning. This short film by Alex Williams explores the consequences of venturing into avalanche country.

Continued adventures in filmmaking

  • From November 27 - December 1, 2009 Alex filmed aboard The Oasis of The Seas, a $1.5 billion cruise ship and largest passenger ship in the world. He shot the naming ceremony live with a Sony 355 with almost 15-camera men/woman and streamed in real time to the world. Alex worked with gymnast Shawn Johnson and other celebrities included Gloria Estefan, Michelle Kwan, Dara Torres, Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Daisy Fuentes.

"Thanks to my past experiences working with Serac Films, and taking part in two Adventure Film Schools (Peru, and Colorado Back country) I was confident in my ability to compose great shots as well as working with a team. Serac Adventure Film School changed my life!" --- Alex Williams
