Machu Picchu 2011

Machu Picchu Trip Summary:

Students meet in Cusco, site of the historic capital of the Incan Empire, before trekking along the Inca Trail. This hike combines a stunning mix of ancient ruins, mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest and rich subtropical jungle and will lead you to the sacred Inca city of Machu Picchu. We will spend five days exploring dramatic alpine valleys including a short stop-over to assist with a community service project in the village of Chilipahua. We then approach Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate, catching our first view of the ancient kingdom from a unique vantage point.

Sebastian Pauchar, one of the region's most respected Shamans, will lead us through several profound ceremonies on our adventure. The expedition will be guided by Mountain Vision Expeditions. Following our 13 days in Peru, we reconvene in Boulder, Colorado for five days of editing at our second story studio over the beloved Pearl Street walking mall.

You will show your film at a small film festival to conclude the course.
